  1. This is a really neat blog. I'm curious about how much of the food your daughter eats, since you offer so many choices. My son is 20 months old, so I'm looking through the posts to steal some ideas. :)

  2. Thank you. Believe it or not, my daughter (now actually 24 months) , normally eats the whole thing. I don't know how my nanny does it (I can't get her to eat so much), but most days the lunchbox is empty. Of course there are days when I have tried something new that she is just not interested in. She loves olives so they are included nearly every day.. that helps the rest go down apparently!
I am always looking for ideas too so check back.

  3. I am so envious, what a great mother you are. I love that your daughter eats olives, my son loves the look of them and asks for them continuosly then spits them out continously. Well done, you have some great ideas, and better yet they are healthy.

  4. Hey, well done Chloe! My son is 21 months and he doesn't chew that well, or perhaps he's lazy? I can't imagine him eating a whole apple by himself.
I am so impressed with your lunch boxes and I myself love that kind of food mix. Right colour and portions of carbo/ proteins/ fats and really healthy!
And u have time to take a pic and post them!

  5. I LOVE this photo-diary! Both my daughters (3 yrs. and 19 months) love olives, and I am going to steal many of your lunch combinations! I'm curious though: where do you find the dried snap peas?

  6. thank you so much for your comments. I am sorry for the delayed response. I am finally set up to respond more frequently!

I found the dried snap peas in my local health food store. I must say I did not like them a whole lot. I am always looking for new snack things and my daughter did seem to eat them but I haven't bought them again since then.
I will often pack a whole apple but she rarely eats the whole thing. She does enjoy the sensation of a large piece of fruit after the usual cut up stuff but I inevitably end up with pieces of half eaten fruit in my fridge. She often spits the skin out, she can't swallow it easily.

Gosh if only making a nice lunch meant one was a good mother! I mean I am trying on all fronts but who can be sure what, at the end of the day, will define our motherhood. I am fairly sure it isn't going to be her lunch. Actually I do find making my daughters meals a bit of a challenge. Not so much their content but the relentlessness of three meals a day with snacks at pretty much exactly the same time everyday. I have never been a regular eater...I have always lived a restaurant cooks life of eating at all hours, and rarely three times a day. Going from that to being the consistent provider of a child's sustenance has been hurdle for me..

Check back and see how I am going!
    thanks again, Chloe

    1. Ya its very good choice for babies as they only take the food if its of their choice. So in my opinion its good to take this because its very good for the growing children.
